Western Horse Association of PEI is focused on promoting any idea, development and activity for the betterment of western riding in PEI.
We are committed to providing horse lovers a series of western horse shows, clinics and wholesome family fun. Our annual "Fun Show" is  a fundraising horse show, which encourages both Western & English riders to showcase their talent & have loads of fun with their equine friends.

We offer a wide range of divisions to compete in, allowing riders of all skill levels to compete and develop their skills. Divisions of competition include, Green Horse or Rider, Novice, Junior Horse, Youth, Novice Youth, Adult, Open, Speed,  and Reining. We offer other open classes including English Flat classes.

For information on Rules, Regulations & a full description of each Division, please refer to the Rule Book.

EQUINE CANADA WESTERN COACHING CERTIFICATION COURSE

Sponsored by Island Horse Council and PEI Health and Wellness

This is a great opportunity for Facilities offering Western Riding, those who are presently giving Western Riding Instruction but are not     Certified Coaches and those who plan to become Western Riding Instructors/Coaches.

This Course is for Certification as:  Instructor, Competitions Coach, or Coaches who wish to reinstate.

More and more Sport Organizations and Programs offered to them, are requiring that Coaches be Certified as a prerequisite. PEI being smaller in equestrian numbers than other Provinces it is not likely that this course will be offered on an annual basis and with it being sponsored by Island Horse Council and PEI Health and Wellness, it is your opportunity to take the Coaching Course at a very reasonable cost.

The course is under way and is expected to be completed in October, 2016.

If you would like information about the course or would like to view a session being taught, feel free to contact:
