In the News...
►► WRAP UP SHOW dates have been changed, to one week later. Correct dates are now September 25 & 26
A good turnout is anticipated, from both on and off Island exhibitors. Stalls will be in high demand, so just a reminder that we must receive your entry in order to book your stall. Preference will be given to competing horses. A stall form is attached - please send this in with your entry.
OTHER NOTES RE: Crapaud Show
* There will be a reduced number of tack stalls this year, so please come prepared to share with others.
* The judges for the weekend have been confirmed - Hilda Pretty will judge on Saturday and Doug Wilson will judge on Sunday.
* We are excited to pilot a new "small fry" division, for youth eight and under. Exhibitors can be assisted in the ring by an adult, and it is designed to introduce young competitors to the show ring. Final details will follow soon, but is is expected the division will consist of the following classes: showmanship, pleasure, in-hand trail, and barrels.
* the two fund raising classes will be Dare To Wear Pink (proceeds to Breast Cancer) and Hunt Seat Under Saddle (proceeds to the Youth Congress Trip 2011)
* to date we have made approximately $ 125 on ticket sales for the fundraising show halter, donated by Cardigan Feed Service. I will try to get everyone a book of tickets to sell in the next week or so. We will do another selling blitz at the Crapaud show - with the winning ticket to be drawn Sunday, September 26.
* A reminder that the Island Reining Horse Association will be offering prize money for 1st place ($ 30) and 2nd place ($ 25) at both the September 25 and 26 shows. The money is offered for all three reining classes: Open, Novice and Rookie. Hopefully we will see increased interest in these classes.

Changes
The Island Reining Horse Association will be awarding prize money for 1st ($30) and 2nd ($25) place, in three reining classes; Open, Novice and Rookie.
This prize money will be available at three WHA Shows: August 29th (Livingstone’s), September 26th (Crapaud), and September 27th (Crapaud). The NRHA Pattern # 5 will be used for each class.
It can be found at www.nrha.com. The Island Reining Horse Association and the Western Horse Association of PEI are excited about this partnership as an opportunity to encourage riders to try the sport of reining.
